The Arduino 1/0 Expansion Shield provides an easy way to connect sensors, servos, and RS485 devices to the Arduino board. It expands Arduit Digital 1/0 and Analog Input Pins with Power and GND. It also provides separate PWM Pins which are compatible with standard servo connectors Another unique feature is that the 1/0 shield has a built-in RS485 converter, which allows Arduino to communicate with RS485 devices. The communication socket provides an extremely easy way to plug in a wireless module such as the APC220 RF module or the DF-Bluetooth module. It has individual power inputs for servos. A servo power jumper allows the user to select between using external power or internal power to drive the servos.

  • Sensor Shield V5.0 allows you to connect to various modules like sensors, servos, relays, buttons, and potentiometers
  • Each functional module has buckled port with VCC, GND and Output, which has corresponding port on the Sensor Shield, Connected with a plain 2.54mm dual-female cable, you may start playing already
  • Buckled brick cables are like cement for bricks, make the connections easier, secure and more professional looking
  • Arduino is an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple i/o board and a development environment that implements the Processing/Wiring language.
  • Arduino can be used to develop stand-alone interactive objects or can be connected to software on your computer (e.g. Flash, Processing, MaxMSP)
  • The open-source IDE can be downloaded for free (currently for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux)
