Description
An 8x8 dot matrix is a type of light-emitting diode (LED) display that consists of a 2-dimensional array of 64 individual LEDs arranged in an 8x8 grid. It is commonly used in electronic devices and systems where a small, low-resolution display is required. The size of the dot matrix is typically measured in millimeters (mm) and determined by the size of the individual LEDs. In this case, the module is 3mm in size.

Wiring instructions
- On the left block is an input port, and on the right is an output port.
- When controlling a single module, simply enter the port and receive a CPU.
- The cascaded output input termination CPU, the input output termination module of the first two modules of the first one, the first two modules of the termination input terminal of the three modules, and so on.
Applications
Real life applications where 8×8 dot matrix displays are used or can be used:
- Ideal for indoor and outdoor displays due to their visibility in daylight, e.g. in elevators
- Used to display information on devices such as clocks, watches, calculators, etc.
- Used in mechanical and medical equipment to display information.
